Meeting Highlights:
1) Springtime Tallahassee: Salim Talib explained with the
Chairperson how the parade would be organized. ACT members
were to meet at 3rd Avenue on Monroe street and the parade
would be followed by Chinese group on 4rth avenues and later
followed by the Taiwanese-American Association at 6th avenue.
The parade would start at 10:00 am so every body needs to
be there at 8:30AM at the latest.
2) The Asian-Pacific Heritage Month Celebration will be held
in Palmer Monroe on May 9th from 11AM to 3 PM. Aurora was
to check if Palmer Monroe would be available at that time.
Aurora confirmed that May 9 would be available for ACT’s
Asian-Pacific Heritage Awareness Month celebration. we need
to start organizing this event and promote it within the community
as well as the schools. BBFAA will be having their annual
Flores De Mayo later in the afternoon and some officers of
BBFAA are key personnel for this event.

3) The Film Festival by the Tallahassee Film Society is on.

4) Barrio Fiesta festival this Saturday at Palmer Munroe Community
Center from 6-9 pm food is free and hosted by Florida State
University, Filipino American Student Association. Performers
are from FSU (Filipino Dancers).
April 3rd,4th, 5th is Tampa Philfest 2009. BBFAA would be
performing in this event.
5) Next ACT meeting will be on April 19 at Genzo House.
