Meeting Highlights:
1. Finances for Experience Asia 2008 – Asian Coalition
were able to raise $ 5,592.50 to date. The festival cost is
$3,284.00. ACT is barely making money for the festival.
2. Aurora will coordinate with Fast Signs if we can get it
cheaper making a banner instead of making a sponsorship brochure.
3. September 26, 2008 – Aurora will be working preparing
and assigning groups in the site. The City requires an insurance
and license from Bureau of Professional Regulations.
4. Aurora needs a final count by Wednesday for the total
number of tables and chairs.
5. Show Mobile stage dimension is 24’X32’.
6. Provide wider area for spectators.
7. Dressing room – COT will provide a 10X10 and Manju
will provide sheets to cover the tent.
8. Portable Toilets – 3 regular and 1 handicap will
be provided for the event will cost $320.00.
9. Four police officers will be provided by the Police Department.
10. Media/Ads – Soma is taking care of this. He is
coordinating with Tallahassee Democrat, WTXL, and FS View.
Kay Picart will feature Experience Asia 2008 on her talk show
at WTAL with Clyde, Soma, Jane Marks, Aurora Hansen and Joyce
Feezel on September 26, 2008.
11. Member Organizations need to advertise this among their
constituents.
12. Vendors and Exhibitors – Soma is responsible taking
care of this.
13. Program of Activities / Performance – Aurora and
Ferdie are working on this.
14. Lauren Dorset will be the Emcee from WTXL.
15. Website is up and running. Thanks to Nilubon Tabtimtong
for development and maintenance.
16. Exhibitors are requested to be in their native attire.
17. Clyde is requesting Carl Huang to have the Taiwanese
Dragon Group open the Festival at 10:00 A.M.
18. E-mail your music on MP3 format no later than September
21, 2008 if not you are responsible to bring it at the Festival
and if it did not work you are responsible to bring it at
the event.
