Meeting Highlights:
1. Leon County Commissioner Ed DePuy was present at the Asian
Coalition of Tallahassee meeting discussing his platform to
improve the quality of life in Leon County.
2. Representatives from China are coming to participate Experience
Asia.
3. Sponsorship Forms - get as many sponsors and give it to your
web. Sponsorship Form available at http://www.asiantlh.org.
4. Forms - Please register on-line and forms emailed to everybody
on Adobe format.
5. Kay and Mafe Picart will produce CDs to give to all radio
stations. Soma coordinate with Mafe.
6. Jane Marks got some sponsors. Jane talked to WTXL and will
give us free air. Soma put together a production. Soma work
with Mafe on this.
7. Clyde instructed Soma to contact Lisa Park of WCTV.
8. Soma will be out of the country and needs assistance from
Mafe.
9. Anosh putting together the poster for Experience Asia 2008.
Poster will be coming out end of this month.
10. ACT will be selling Experience Asia 2008 poster for $5.00.
11. ACT members are encouraged to write an article about Asia
and publish it at the Tallahassee Democrat.
12. Dr. Soma will try to get in touch with other Counties especially
Thomasville and provide information about Experience Asia.
13. City of Tallahassee requires vendors and participants of
the event to submit the Insurance, Liability and ASCAP forms.
14. ACT will sell only beverages. Only Food Vendors and ACT
can sell beverages. Cindy Green will be responsible selling
drinks for ACT.
15. Two stages will be available for the event. One for demonstration
and the other for cultural performance.
16. Anosh Gil is responsible for the Experience Asia Souvenir
Program and will come out a few days before the actual event.
17. Ferdie and Aurora Hansen are resposnible for the Entertainment
Program.
18. Next ACT Meeting will be on August 26, 2008 at Donna Lyons
